The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber used extensively by the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) during World War II. It was known for its speed and its firepower, but it also had a reputation for being difficult to fly. It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engines and was armed with machine guns and a bomb load. The Marauder was used for a variety of missions, including strategic bombing, ground attack, and reconnaissance.
